Utah Breakfast Expansion Team (UBET) was formed in 2014 in response to the state’s consistently low participation in the School Breakfast Program (SBP); Utah currently ranks last in the nation.
UBET released Starting the Day Right II: Best Practices for Increasing School Breakfast Participation in Utah Schools. This report has updated data for school year 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017.
In December 2016 UBET released Starting the Day Right: Best Practices for Increasing School Breakfast Participation in Utah Schools. This report describes alternative breakfast delivery models that can help increase school breakfast participation.
In addition, it provides valuable school breakfast participation data that can help in assessing the success of current School Breakfast Programs.

The Summer Nutrition Programs provide free meals and snacks to low-income children 18 and under when school is not in session.
Utahns Against Hunger is proud to be a part of the Partners for Breakfast in the Classroom, a consortium of national education and nutrition organizations that provides technical assistance and financial support to help school districts in Utah to increase breakfast participation by implementing breakfast in the classroom programs.
