Glenn

In his high school years, he had to rely on his parents’ limited income for his nutritional needs. The National School Lunch Program helped him to get more nutritious foods, which helped him make it through the day. Now Glenn is on his own and is, “just trying to survive and get money to buy clothing and get work.” He wants to get back on his feet, though. He often feels like he’s not doing his part in society. Glenn now looks fondly on the School Lunch Program. “It got me through life.”
